Because of the size, scope, and scale of the XFMedia project, a lot of my work ended up on the editing room floor. I thought it would be nice to include some of that work here so a visitor could take a peek behind the curtain to see how select parts of my creative process works.
Creative Approach & Sketches
With all of my projects and Client accounts, I spend an inordinate amount of time researching, sketching, thinking, and meditating on concepts, approaches, colors, feelings, sounds, and stories. The content below a pretty good representation of the additional behind the scenes work that my team and I did for the XFMedia project.

XFMedia Unreleased Logomarks
I created a final set of XFMedia logomarks before I moved to Beijing to start work on the MINHE Media and HAPAMe projects. These designs were later used by XFMedia globally.
XFMedia Supporting Graphics Color Studies
I also created a second and third set of XFMedia super graphics that I felt might be easier to use within the company’s communications and marketing initiatives. The designs on the upper right were later used by XFMedia after I had moved to Beijing.

Throughout the creative and development process, the motion graphics team and I created a series of “demo” animations for XFMedia’s executive committee, investors, and other stakeholders to view and comment on. The following are 3 early examples of these animation demos.

XFMedia Reel Pre-Visualization
Prior to presenting more evolved demos, my team and I created detailed sets of pre-visualization storyboards for presentation to the executive team, key investors, and stakeholders. The following are just four pre-visualization storyboards from the XFMedia IPO reel project.

XFMedia Reel Mood Boards
At the very onset of the XFMedia project, we were tasked to create an Investor Vision Reel. This was a new concept for many so we developed a series of mood boards to give XFMedia a glimpse into our ideas and creative starting points.

XFMedia Beijing Office Development
One of the last large scale projects I oversaw was the design and build-out of XFMedia’s Beijing headquarters. A key design element of the build-out was to show case the XFMedia brand attributes within the physical space. Below are images of our actual build-out plans from our architect which show how our brand guidelines were translated into a physical space.
