Founded in 2006, Minghe Media is headquartered in Beijing, with satellite offices in Shanghai, Urumqi and Lanzhou and Shenzhen.

Opportunity

After completing my projects in Shanghai, I moved to Beijing China to work on the development of MINGHE Media’s online entertainment platform, identity, and investor story. This represented a rare opportunity to work with the same talented team I had worked with on the BEIJING Olympics, XFMedia, VESTASIA and DINA projects to create a new online entertainment company in Mainland China.

Approach

At MINGHE I worked with the CEO, the investor relations department, application development and marketing teams. As mentioned above, I had previously worked with the marketing team members on other large scale projects so the transition up to this new project in Beijing was seamless.

Solution

The goals of the MINGHE project were the same as other China projects I had worked on. We used existing creative PERT development charts to create a detailed production schedule to follow. The key difference was that there was a new software development component to the production schedule which made the project interesting.

OUTCOME

/Results

By using existing creative PERT development charts we were able to complete the MINGHE project is a relatively short amount of time. The team and I created a visual identity of the gaming company, brand guidelines, and detailed multi-lingual investor prevention which included an investor vision reel, successful outreach to European and US-based venture capital companies. We also created and oversaw the MINGHE Media office design.

01/ The MINGHE Media project ran in parallel with the HAPAMe production which stretched our core team.

While we were working on the MINGHE project, we are also debugging code and developing all Client touchpoints for HAPAMe; and designing/building out the offices for both firms. In retrospect, this actually worked out really well. We were essentially rapid prototyping both companies' respective deliverables while working off of well established create PERT production charts.


02/ Aggressive production timeline and pressure to deliver high quality product on time and under budget.

Our production timelines and the pressure to deliver were both factors we dealt with on a daily basis. Because of the long-standing professional relationships and open/creative structure between the creative team members we were able to successfully deliver award-winning content onetime and on budget.
